MEET OUR STAFF



Dianna Thompson
Dianna Thompson (Editor)

Dianna is the editor of Men’s E-News and former editor of Father’s and Families Magazine.  She is an expert on families, stepfamilies and divorce-related issues and has served as Chairman of the Family Law Reform Committee in Los Angeles, California. Dianna has made numerous television appearances on shows such as The Today Show and Fox News Live, and written for or been quoted in Time Magazine, USA Today and The Los Angeles Times.  She is also the author of the social policy article “Child Support and Second Families”.

Jeff Perwin - (Web Development)

Jeff was raised in Southern California for most of his young life. After graduating college with an Electrical Engineering Degree, Jeff moved back to Los Angeles working at various companies finally ending up as Vice-President of a consulting company doing business with the US Navy. Jeff served more than 3 years as the volunteer director for the San Diego International Students Assoc working with some 50+ language schools, colleges, and universities helping some 40,000+ international students, workers, and tourists visiting San Diego. Jeff has found a true passion working as a board member of the Kearny Mesa Kiwanis Club and member of the Linda Vista Lyons Club which work to help children in the San Diego area. These clubs help raise money for Children's Hospital and work with many other great organizations such as the Girls and Boys Clubs, the Bayside Community Center, and the Children's Center.

Robert D. Cubby:

Robert D. Cubby is a retired police captain having served 38 years in the Jersey City Police Department. Most of his career was in the patrol division. He worked every district in the police department. He spent two years in the property unit and 8 1/2 years in Emergency Services Unit (SWAT). He was on loan to the Police Academy as an instructor for 3 years. He handled numerous officer involved shootings and worked closely with the CISM program and Deacon Robert Baker since 2005. He is very familiar with post shooting trauma and PTSD. He retired in 2011 as a captain. He graduated from Montclair State University with a BA in Psychology. He is a contributor to the Grieving Behind the Badge Newsletter. Robert manages the PTSD websites Surviving the Shield and Code Blue and is the Administrator of the Police Website JCPD West. He is a cast Member and Interviewed in the Documentary Film Code 9 Officer Needs Assistance. It's a film that explores the problem of PTSD in police. Soon to be a 90 minute movie and 13 week mini-series. Robert is a Public speaker on PTSD issues for NAMI, the NJ- Sussex County chapter, as well as a law enforcement instructor.

Stephen Harris:

Stephen Michael Harris is a Philosophy student hailing from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. He interns for both Men’s E News and Victims of Immigration Fraud. Minoring in Legal Studies with the expectation to attend law school following the acquisition of his undergraduate degree, he utilizes his internships to maximize his exposure to social, clerical, media, and international phenomena. He feels honored to be working with such a team of great interns, and hopes that you benefit from the work they do together!

Geoffrey Cole:

Geoffrey Cole is a junior at Roanoke College in Salem, Virginia. Patient and comfortable in rigorous environments, the position of intern coordinator at Men’s E-News has grown on him since his start. He continues to formulate new ideas and encourage his fellow interns to approach situations with critical and innovative thinking. Constantly seeking new outlets to produce results, he is an individual open to any challenge that presents itself.

Jamie Ryan:

Jamie is a graphic design and studio art student at Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory, North Carolina.  She’s a graphic design intern at Men’s E-News and also works as a graphic design intern at AGVSPORT.  Jamie hopes to pursue a career in graphic design once she graduates in the spring of 2015.

Alex Trihias:

Alex is a broadcast journalism student at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia.  She’s a social media intern at Men’s E-News and also works as a social media intern at AGVSPORT.  Alex hopes to pursue a career in sports journalism or media once she graduates this coming December.

Andrew Hall:

Andrew will be entering his senior year at Kansas State University where he studies advertising with a minor in leadership studies. Andrew is also the starting goalie for the Kansas State Men's Lacrosse team where in 2013 he was ranked as the #1 goalie in the nation when it came to saves per game. After graduating from Kansas State in 2015, Andrew hopes to continue working in the field of advertising and will be looking to make a lasting impact in the industry.

 Jasmine Benjamin:      

Jasmine works on social media outreach for Men's E-News and AGVSPORT. She is a sophomore at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut and studies history. Patrick Custer:

Patrick is a computer science major at the University of Maryland Baltimore-County. He is a web development intern at Men's E-News. Once graduated, Patrick hopes to pursue a career in astrophysics and quantum computing.
